How we verify giveaways

The three checks

1. The entry page works

We open the entry page and confirm that it loads and takes an entry. A broken or closed page is not listed.

2. The prize is stated

The sponsor has to say exactly what the prize is. We show the value the sponsor gives, not a rounded-up one.

3. The sponsor is named

Someone has to be responsible for choosing a winner and delivering the prize. If the entry page does not name them, we do not list it.

How matching works

Some giveaways are open only in certain states or on certain devices. We use your ZIP code and the device you are on to leave out the ones you cannot enter. What you told us you would like to win changes the order, never what is shown. The number of matches is a real count of what is open to you.

What we remove

Giveaways that have ended, and any whose entry page has stopped working or whose terms have changed.

What we never do

• We never charge you to enter, and we do not list giveaways that do.
• We never submit an entry for you. We fill in the form; you review it and send it.
• We never ask for a card number, a bank account, or a Social Security number.

What we cannot promise

We check the giveaway, not the outcome. We do not run the drawings, cannot tell you your odds, and do not know who wins. Each giveaway follows its sponsor's official rules, so read them before you enter.
